Helpful & Friendly staff , clean and secure facility. They have tons of bubble wrap , locks , mattress covers , boxes of all sizes , dish protector kits. The general manager “WILL” was very helpful with getting me into my newly rented parking spot. He answered all of my questions and made sure I knew what I was getting into.

Destiny was so helpful. She was patient and explained everything to me. Amazing customer service. I highly recommend this facility.

We had a recent experience with Destiny at Compass SS in Smithfield RI, that deserves a special call out. We rented a climate-controlled unit for the summer months to locally store some items for our Bryant U Student as we live out of state. We had a dorm move-out date which was actually on Mother's day, May 12th. This was also a Sunday and Compass SS was to close at 2:00. When initially renting from Compass SS, you can do the preliminary paperwork remotely but need to sign in person the first time you access the unit. It was Mother's Day. We were coming from NH and our commute was much longer than anticipated due to excessive traffic. We needed to move out of the dorm THAT DAY...and we were running late (past 2:00) to do the mandatory lease signing! I don't know what we would have done without access to the storage unit that afternoon. The STRESS was almost overwhelming! That is, until I called the office and spoke to Destiny! Destiny was our saving grace that day! She offered to stay past closing in order to meet us! I'm sure she had other places to be on a Mother's Day Sunday afternoon... but the fact that she prioritized our crisis and was willing to stay an extra 1/2 hour speaks volumes to her customer service, and to her compassion to help our family out of a pretty awful situation. When we finally did arrive, Destiny was very pleasant and accommodating, minimizing my thankful apologies and assuring us that it was really no big deal. This gesture was not insignificant and it's becoming a rarity to find customer service representatives willing to go above expectations. We feel so appreciative to have had Destiny help us on that day. Compass SS should also feel appreciative to have such a wonderful staff member representing their company.

After being there for over 8 years without 1 missed or late payment I was treated like a deadbeat because my bank closed my debit card because they were hacked. Coastal one look it up. I informed them, went there and they wanted to charge a late fee. I was told don't pay today ill get the fee waived. They waive the fee. I go there 3 separate times to pay, the office is closed and the third time im locked out of my unit. Mind you less than 3 weeks late. I then get an email threatening auction. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. The old owners were great the new owners are pathetic and don't deserve to be in business. Ill guarantee most of the good reviews are from the previous owners. Only pay attention to reviews from last 2 years. Worst place ever. No loyalty.

Miles and Kim at the front desk are very pleasant and easy to work with. As for Compass Storage itself, we would never use them again. Since Compass took over the storage facility, they just keep raising rates. We were led to believe all units are climate controlled, they are not. Mice droppings are all inside our boxes. Disgusting! We left the unit on the 10th of the month and no price adjustments for leaving early. Would not recommend!!

Miles made me feel welcomed the moment I walked in. I was greeted and attended to professionally throughout the whole procedure. It also took less time than I’ve ever spent at a u-haul. It was also WAY cheaper with about 63 cent per mile charged.

I had a very good experience at Compass Self Storage. Myles introduced himself to me in the office and quickly showed me a unit the size I was looking for. He suggested others but I was very satisfied with the one he showed me. Paperwork ran smoothly - computer a little slow from a new system - but that's to be expected these days. He was very congenial and informative and I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for storage. I rate Miles a 10 for being a professional at his job!
